I know it's not going to change. I know it won't stay the same The Wind will blow it all away, The Earth will rise up and bury me. The Wonder of it all The last time that I saw your face Has faded from my memory. The Wind will blow it all away, The Earth will rise up and bury me. The Wonder of it all

The sun shone on the hill everything was beauty filled. I knew your fate would be intertwined with mine. I went to the light... Promises were made without words All that was broken no longer hurt Being alive made sense for what it's worth With my debts and my wealth left behind The fee where I'm going is sacrifice. I went to the light, And you tried to fill my life with the sky of your love. If I go on this way until my destined grave with a cold and lonely heart will I wind up right back where I did start?

She entered my foot with her foot She entered my waist with her snow She entered my heart saying yes that's right. And so the body of loneliness was covered, from without. And from within, the body of loneliness was embraced. Now every time I try to draw a breath she whispers, to my breathlessness Yes, my love, that's right, that's right. And so the body of loneliness was covered, from without. And from within, the body of loneliness was embraced.

My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here;
 My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer
A-chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
 My heart's in the Highlands wherever I go. Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North,
 The birth-place of Valour, the country of Worth;
 Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
 The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.

My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here;
 My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer;
 A-chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
 My heart's in the Highlands wherever I go.

Farewell to the mountains high covered with snow;
Farewell to the straths and green valleys below;
 Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods;
Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.

 My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here;
My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer;
A-chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
 My heart's in the Highlands wherever I go.

I know that you can't explain it And I know that you can't describe it But I still want to hear you say it! I want to see you in the sun I want to see you in the rain I want to see you in the stone, break it open and find you there...

about

A collection of six distinct, intimate, emotional and sonically varied songs.

Recorded in Brooklyn, NY at Figure 8 recording studio, produced, engineered and mixed by Philip Weinrobe with innovative musician/multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily, Ben Davis of Cuddle Magic and a number of other amazing guests.

Body Of Loneliness, a Leonard Cohen poem from his publication 'Book of Longing', is set to music here in layers of sensual beauty in an attempt to match the depth of intimacy spoken of so simply and elegantly. The title track is a Scottish traditional based on Arvo Part's stunning rendition.

The original songs are sparse lyrically, leaving the sounds, textures and forms to communicate the emotional conductivity of the subject matter: contradiction, death, spiritual longing, meditation, love.
